Two New BigCommerce ←→ MYOB EXO integrated eCommerce websites!

We recently worked closely with Fernland to provide them with a BigCommerce store for their B2B website, Fernland, and their B2C website, The Garden Superstore, in order to meet the needs of their expanding business. The main objective of this overhaul was to enhance Fernland’s international B2B distribution and Garden Superstore’s B2C operations.

Throughout the project, we had various goals to support Fernland, including the implementation of customised quantity-based cross-item pricing features for product groups in BigCommerce. In order to achieve this, a unique ‘cart events’ system was developed to update pricing when the cart was modified with a ‘tier-priced’ product.

We also fully integrated both BigCommerce websites with MYOB EXO, which involved incorporating product, inventory, payment, orders, and customer account data. The integration also added additional workflows for syncing bulky products, customer-specific pricing, product documents and wholesale rates. We implemented our Bulky Freight app, which allows different shipping costs when an item that is considered bulky is present in a cart. The customer-specific is made possible through our FIS Ship app.

In addition to these services, we developed a custom excise tax app for pot-levy. This app is designed to handle the statutory industry levy paid on potted plants that are produced in Australia. We also integrated APVMA, which allowed Fernland to easily comply with the laws for agricultural and veterinary chemicals.

The end result ensured Fernland and their customers had complete control over administrative tasks, including payment management, reconciliation, and invoicing via the site dashboard. Furthermore, we tightly integrated shipping quotes from their MachShip account and offered the ability to add bulky freight and table rate shipping options for customers.
